What is the aSa Software Forum?

The aSa Software Forum is a special event for aSa software users to review our software, provide training, exchange ideas and concepts, and plan for future development. The event features hands-on training sessions to help you become more productive with aSa products. (This is a great bargain compared to regular training rates!) The 2017 forum has a special focus on incorporating your ideas into our next generation 5G software. Your participation will help you to get the most out of your system, both now and into the future. This year’s theme is Building Innovation. 

About the Sydney Software Forum

For more than 45 years, aSa software users in the Western Hemisphere have been learning, networking, and sharing their ideas at the aSa Software Forum, a special meeting held in Pittsburgh every two years. While the forum is open to all customers, we recognize the challenge and cost for clients in Australia and New Zealand to attend. Additionally, we understand the importance of gathering input from aSa software users in your region. For this reason, we’re bringing the forum to Sydney.

Basics and Beyond: Get the Most from aSa Bar List
Wednesday 19 July 8:00 – 9:50 a.m.
Learn about all the ways you can take off and manage material more efficiently. We will begin with basic order entry, then progress to discover the module’s many time-saving detailing tools. Additionally, we will cover Shape Manager and new functionality for detailing manufactured assemblies.

Go Rebar: Order Entry in the Cloud - Hands On
Wednesday 19 July 10:10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Wouldn’t it be nice if your customers could quickly and accurately order steel online? Our new web-based order entry system is exactly the solution you need. Shear Excellence: Production Planning to Achieve Great Results

In this session, we will look at all aspects of Production from setting up a session and printing tags, to creating a fully optimized run. You will learn how the various production options help you to meet material and production goals and adapt to changing requirements and shop conditions.

5G: An Overview of aSa’s Next Generation Software – Hands On
Two-part session Thursday 20 July
Part 1: 8:00 – 9:50 a.m.
Part 2: 10:10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

We are hard at work designing and developing our fifth generation (5G) rebar software solution. At this session, you’ll learn:
  • Why we decided to make 5G a cloud-based solution.
  • Why 5G does not require Sage or other third-party accounting solutions for rebar contract management.
  • How we’ve simplified the work flow to eliminate repetitive modules and processes.
  • How 5G makes it easy to set up security and share information across your enterprise, even if you have multiple companies, regions, and locations.

Estimating – From A to Z
Thursday 20 July 1:00 - 2:50 p.m.

Estimators are invited to stay after lunch on Thursday for additional training. Whether you’re new to Estimating or an experienced user ready to improve your game with some advanced skills, this session is for you. In this class, we will start with the basics and move on to custom report summaries and totals, packages and macros, and various other time-saving utilities.

The closest train station to Cliftons Sydney is Wynyard Station.

Exit Wynyard station via the George Street exit and turn left toward Circular Quay, then turn left onto Margaret Street. Head 50 metres up Margaret Street and Cliftons is located on the right hand side – next door to Max Brenners.
